Strong, smart, thoughtful and beautiful - a grand lady with much to be proud of in her growing family.

I remember Mita vividly - I remember the first time I ever met all of you - it was Easter Sunday and we were all sat at table in the original front room at Terry and Andrew’s - how beautiful she was - physically and spiritually - and her bread rolls and her meringues …. !!!! And she was always kind to our kids. How perfect she was able to come home to die in her own place surrounded by all she loved and who loved her.

And did you get what
you wanted from this life, even so?
I did
And what did you want?
To call myself beloved, to feel myself beloved on the earth
(Last Fragment by Raymond Carver)
Mita, hoping that, wherever you are now, this is indeed how you are feeling. Personally, I am convinced that it should be so, given all the love you gave to your family over your long life. My memories of you are of your warmth, your gentle manner and that beaming smile that greeted me on so many family occasions over the decades. Rest in Peace.
